UV Ray Indicator / SLJ / Week 3

  -- SUMMER LEARNING JOURNEY --

Task Description:
Today we learn't about what UV levels are as well as what a UV Ray Indicator is. We got given videos as well as one explaining the effects it has towards us. After learning about all we needed to know we were to create a UV Ray Indicator our self. This is mine. How mine works is my one has a circle of the UV levels and at the top is an arrow that is what is used to point at the UV level. By doing that you have to turn the circle in till it get's to the UV level it is currently. On the sides are just something that tells you what each color of numbers mean. As well as showing you the lowest level to the highest. Check it out!

  1. Kia ora Deborah,

Fiona here from the Summer Learning Journey team. WOW - what an awesome UV indicator you have created! You have done a great job designing a UV indicator that is clearly labelled, eye-catching and easy to understand. Ka pai!

Have you seen the ‘Step it Up’ part of this activity where the challenge is to create a wearable UV indicator? This could be in the form of a bracelet, hat, watch, or anything else you can wear! You might like to give this activity a go. For an example, check out Finaus blog post

Keep up the great blogging. I can't wait to see more of your work soon.

    Mā te wā,

    Fiona

And yes I'm currently still doing the wearable UV indicator so it should be completed soon ready on my blog. Thank you loads for showing me Finau's blog post for this activity because it was quite impressive.

      Thank you!

      Deborah :)
