ANZAC DAY ( Remembering those who served and died)

Kia ora, if your wondering today is our national ANZAC day, the 25th of April. This day is very important because it is helping us to remember those who were on the battlefield fighting during wars. It's a remembrance day for those who served and died in those wars. For those who are wondering what ANZAC means well it stands for, Australian and New Zealand Army corps. Usually on this day many people come together in an area somewhere in New Zealand and stand in silence for those who served us and died. But since we are in alert 4 we can't really be around people that are not in our bubble meaning people that don't live in our household. I don't know if it's just the soldiers but this is all I know. Who ever is reading this post please remember to think about those who died during the war and pretty risked their life. But anyways this is the end of this post I hope you all have a wonderful day and have a time to spend time with your family this weekend.

Malo e lelei and greetings, today I will be sharing my day today and what I have been doing so far. Even though we have been in home the last few days why not just share the routine for the day. Starting the day with my online classes and finishing off my work for the day.  me my aunty, brother and grandma went for a walk up Mount Wellington. It was a very sweltering afternoon the time we were about to walk up the mountain. There were a lot of people walking up the mountain which meant we had to keep our distance when walking past people. the view was really pretty because how the sky was very clear and blue. The sight was very stunning from where I was standing. At the very top I can see nearly everything from the Sky Tower to the Rangitoto volcano. We have mostly been taking our walks up the mountain and at the Pt England reserve but today we decided to go to Mount Wellington. I hope you've been out doors and keeping active even if i'ts just playing out in your backyard. Leave a comment saying what you have been doing today.

Coronavirus: Mum's warning after children catch COVID-19

The Rowley family.
For this task the topic is about this lady called: Bettina Rowley. She and her family lived in Queensland for about 11 years and now currently lives in Germany. This mum has two kids of hers five-year-old Charlotte and three-year-old Frederick that were tested positive with COVID-19. She told everyone on facebook that her kids all of a sudden got a high temperatures and try coughs. She said that it was really weird that they were both sick at the same time and the same problem. It was then the time for her to take them in for a check up. When they were getting checked it was said that the doctor was in full gear well checking them and then two days after they were checked it came back positive. The mother of the children was not sure how they caught the coronavirus but was an all of a sudden shock to there family. The mother said that they did go to kindergarten and wondered if they caught it from there but it is a mystery they would never know. She also said she could have brought it home from the shops, she's now taking this very serious and is warning other parents to take this serious and to be aware. Now Bettina's kids have recovered and are at home keeping safe. If your reading this it could help you to now realise that this is a serious matter is to remind you to look out for your family members that's still counting yourself whether any age it's still something to look out for.

Covid-19 Helping the Environment

Greetings and hello, today is the first day back to school, term 2. Starting off the term in quarantine is a bit tough because its not the same and we can't really talk to our teachers in person and ask them all our questions. But anyways we still do our normal routines having our classes normal time. But today's first task for the day is from my Reading and Writing class. As you can see there's a question under this writing asking me a question having to do with the topic I'm writing about. It said.
COVID-19 might be a worldwide pandemic, but could it be an environmental tonic?
This question is saying even though there has been a worldwide pandemic, but has this pandemic helped with the environment. The environment seems to be good since we've been on lockdown and not much people have been using their cars, by that I mean that's preventing the gas from inside the car creating the pollution which has been one of the big part from the pollution dropping . I hope you get what I mean It's a bit hard explaining in my words.

COVID-19 might be a worldwide pandemic, but could it be an environmental tonic?

And so with this I'm going to be answering it by reading the Information on kiwikids news. Here is a picture I inserted of a picture showing how much the pollution has dropped ever since this lockdown has happened in China. Not only China but the whole world, Isn't that 'amazing'. As you may not know or may know that China has been in lockdown ever since January the 23d till this day. It's so true, this picture shows how much it has dropped and it was a huge drop. This is so interesting to learn about. I'm also sure that since were inside there would be less littering and that's something we've been trying to improve.  And one more reminder since the factories are closed there not producing bad chemicals for the environment.
Fact: China is the worst in climate change but experts have said that emissions have been cut to 25% ever since the outbreak.

STAY SAFE EVERYONE!!

As you may know I'm in quarantine so may you. Currently the world is going through a time when a serious disease called Covid-19 and many call it Coronavirus. Till this day New Zealand is still in lockdown and we will be finding out if we students will be doing work at home or normal work at school. Or If we will be moving to level 3, If your not that familiar with that in new zealand we do levels for the coronavirus. Currently were in level 4 the highest but could be moving to level 3 depending on how it goes and what our minister jacinda thinks.  Level 4 is when all the fast food stores are closed and everyone must be locked in there houses and are only aloud to go out If needed escentuals so as food or things other than food that is important. In level 4 there are strict rules about going to visit other people. You are only aloud to be with the people in your bubble meaning that the only people your aloud to be with is the people that are living in your house. And for those who don't know anything about the levels and all that well now you know. But anyways keep safe and stop the germs from spreading and continuing to kill many people.

2 Taha Challenge: Writing 3 things I'm grateful for! (Taha Hinengaro )

Grateful GIF

Hello and kia ora, Today's task is the second task for the Taha Challenge I've participated in. If you've haven't seen my first taha challenge I uploaded on this blog I would recommend you checking it out. It also has a video in it I took which is apart of the challenge. But anyways back to this task, I am going to be writing and sharing three things I'm grateful for. I'm grateful for everything by the way but for this I'm only going to be choosing three out of many which now that I'm listening to this I know what I've chosen. Starting with the first on the list is of course god, without him I wouldn't think I would be here neither would my family and friends. He gave me a lovely family and provided us with a roof on top of us and food to give us some energy. Not only that but he is the first priority in my life, since I'm a christian and I've grown up knowing that he is the first to come in my life. But next on my list that I am grateful for is obviously my family. Other than god my family is a huge thing in my life. They are always there for me and each other in tough times, like this when the Coronavirus is going around .Were working together to keep each other safe. Its mainly for the elderlies in our family because their mostly the ones that could easily get the virus unless they stay home and away from other people.  I love my family and is always something I'm grateful for. Last on my list for what I'm grateful for is the kindness that we still have in this world. Although there are some negative things in this world we still have kindness and that's all our mind needs to know about. But we all know that kindness is appreciated and wanted, so that's what I'm grateful for.
(Please leave a positive comment about what 3 things your grateful for)
(Also keep up with many of what I post on this blog and the amazing learning)

Summer learning Journey: Week 2 ( Text message)

Hello and welcome to the last task for week 2 in the Easter learning Journey. This is probably the last task for the easter learning Journey but I still don't know. This task is similar to the other text message task from the first week but different, because this time it said.
(If you were given the ability to send one text message to everyone in Glen Innes What would it be?) For those that are not familiar with Glen Innes it is a suburb in East Auckland which is the place I live in and is also the place my school is located in. The only thing is that I could say Anymore words than ten. I tried to go easy and simple but would definitely be easy for those that live in Glen Innes know what it means. I wrote this because some people go a bit to over bored and even if the minister #Jacinda ardern clearly said to stop freaking out there's many food to go around but people still do what there doing. Lucky New Zealand's number of people that have covid - 19 is not that bad. But who ever sees this and is from GI short for Glen Innes see's this and you know your one of them please stop I know It's none of my business but It's a bit to childish.

Summer learning Journey: Week 2 Day 10 (Its good Friday)

Welcome to week 2 day 10, For today's task I was told to write two things of what I hope would happen today and this is what I wrote. I recommend you read the task before continuing to read this writing about the description of the task so read and then you may continue. As you can see the writing on the top right is my first writing of what I'm Hopeful for today
(Hopeful: What I hope to happen.) I hoped that the covid-19 would drop and at least stop increasing but i know it would only happen If people stay home. That's what I firstly hope for till the day is over. The last one on the bottom left is for me and my family and is to hope to have good luck meaning to have a peaceful day and getting to wake up to a quiet and relaxing morning. Isn't that what everyone hopes for well that's on my wish list.

Easter learning Journey: Week 2 Day 9 Activity 1 ( Special time at Easter )

On the Easter weekend we don't do much compared to other people. But What's very important for us is that we go to church on sunday because of the day jesus risen. But on Friday we usually watch easter movies just like we did last friday during this Easter lockdown. My younger siblings usually get an easter hunt outside at our backyard on sunday morning. On the days towards Easter sunday everyday we had a little service not to long like the ones at church but a bit shorter. In my family easter is mainly about jesus and the time he sacrificed for our sins. That's what my grandma always says it about jesus not chocolate. But like I said we don't do much.

One easter sunday morning we wake up get ready for the day, we then have a service like we do at church but shorter and just thanking the lord for what he has done for us. After that is done that's whenget to  see the excitement on my younger siblings faces well there doing there ester hunt. After they get there treats we all just watch movies and wait for the food that's getting prepared. On sunday we had a BBQ since it was a special occasion. Like I said it wasn't that much but we don't need it to be big.

Easter learning Journey: Week 2 Day 6 activity 1 ( Nau mai haere mai )

Hi to you all, I hope you guys are all having a great time at home and spending a lot of time with your family. Here is my task for Day 6 Activity 1 for my Easter learning journey. Feel free to check out the rest of the days of my Easter learning Journey. Todays task I had to create my own family tree listing my two sides of family. As you can see I've decided to share my family members from my parents and up. I've decided to include my siblings and I. Starting from my Dads side we have his parents, Willy and Fiana they both live in america. They were first living in tonga when my dad was little and then moved to america with my dads younger siblings. That's when my dads other siblings decided to move there as well a few years later. My dad comes from a family of 10 including him which sounds like a huge family I can't even memorise all of their names. My dad is full tongan and is from leimatua and kolomotua. Willy my dads dad is a child of Lusi and siusiua, His mum is the child of Daniela and Tupou. Moving on to my mom's side of her family, we have her mum and dad my grandparents- Tevita and ofa. I would say my mum is a bit samoan but mostly tongan. My mom's parents are both from tonga but my grandma is also samoan because her grandma is full samoan. My mum comes from a family of 6 including her. Her parents my grandparents live with me and my family here in nz.  I have many other cultures from my mums side but I just do the main ones. But here is my family tree I hope that you've learnt a little about me and where I'm from.

Easter learning Journey - Text Message

Greetings to anyone that is viewing this post. Today's post is apart of my school's Easter Learning journey.   For this task I have to answer a question having to do with a Text message. The question I am being asked is If I had a chance to send one message to everyone in Aotearoa what will be the topic of the message be and why I have decided to write about this. Looking at the question I'm thinking of something and I've got something in mind.

I've decided to go with a quote just because a quote has strong words but a small sentence. Even though it is a small and short sentence the words are powerful and can do a lot. I've wrote this down for my text message, RESPECT IS EARNED. HONESTY IS APPRECIATED. I really like how this is so true and has so much meanings. Even during this time when we need to respect each other and have to be honest to one another even in tough situations like this with the coronavirus.

Eater learning journey Day 5 (It's Friday)

Hello todays task we have here is apart of my Easter learning Journey, Hopefully you have been here since day one and checking what I have been blogging. (Feel free to check them out). So in for to day I was asked to write down 3 quotes I've heard in my house hold during this alert level 4. Sayings that are helpful to me and my family. I've your eager to check it out you may proceed in checking this out.
(Please feel free to comment on my work and ask as many questions as well as my other work)

Easter learning Journey: Day 4 Activity 1 (Back for a moment!)

Hi to all you fellow viewers. Today install we have a task from my Easter learning Journey - Day 4 Activity 1. If you've haven't been keeping up with the first day for my Easter learning Journey I would check it out If I was you. So then you can see what type of tasks we do and the amazing learning and finding out about compelling locations around New Zealand. The whole point of this task was that I had to recreate the interior of my house which means that I had to make my house on google drawings using lines to make the out lines of everything in my house. I have no other way to explain it but I'm sure if you look at this screen shot I inserted it would make sense. What the teachers are asking is that If I'm looking at the floor map overlooking my house I'll have to think of what I'll want to improve in my house and things I would keep normal. Well to be honest I don't think my family would want to move any walls or bust them down I feel like they'll just renew it and make it look modern. That's probably what I would do as well. Maybe just do the simple because my house is okay how it is and there's no other way I could possibly change it.

Easter learning Journey: Day 3 Activity 1 (Let's start Traveling)

Malo e lelei and hello, Thank you for coming and checking out this blog post you came on the right time. Today's task Is from my Easter learning Journey. As this is Day 3 Activity 1 I was instructed to look at these three locations Tane Mahuta, Karekare and Rangitoto Island. I had to go on google maps and mark these locations so then you can see where these places are at in New Zealand. As you may have seen already here is a screenshot I took of a good shoot showing the locations marked. I've checked out some amazing info and pictures of these Outstanding places. Let me tell you about each of these places. First I'll start with Tane Mahuta.

Tane Mahuta is a very beautiful location very relaxing and peaceful. Its photos taken by visitors are so eyes taking. At Tane Mahuta you can take lovely walks and hear the sound of birds chirping and the sound of wilderness, Isn't it 'Amazing'. They have quiet large trees making it way more fascinating and exciting. It's probably going to be a hard decision picking one place, Ow wait sorry I forgot at the end I am Supposed to pick one location I much rather visit but by the look of it its probably not going to be the easiest.

Next on the list is Karekare Beach . "OMG", how could this even get better. "This could be the win". This is Karekare beach it is located in a small coastal and settled in the northern of New Zealand.  This place gets many attractions because of the stunning water but whats way more shocking is when the water reflects the sky just like the photo. There are many surfers that come to this place to surf, I mean It is a good place to surf.

Last but not least Rangitoto. "Okay I can't".  But this is Rangitoto Island. Isn't it pretty. Rangitoto is a separate Island not attached to the main Island but I'm sure is close to Auckland. Now it's time for me to make my decision on which location I would rather prefer to go to...
Well I've made my decision and its Karekare beach. I've picked it because its waters look so calm and not that ruff.

Easter learning Journey: Day 2 Activity 1 (Our New Zealand flag - your flag of hope)

Task Description: Kia ora to those who are viewing this blog post. Hi, as you may know I've been participating in the Easter learning Journey, And this is Day 2 Activity 1. We were instructed to create our own flag. That had me thinking how do I even come up with a great flag that properly won't be better than the original one but I already new that. I couldn't really picture a flag I had in mind. I then started to make the outline of the flag because I had now time to waste. I then tried to be creative and crop the little square thing that was apart of the british flag since New Zealand is under the british flag. I used that but changed the rest. I used that maori leave to symbol Maori and I guess everything else. I still added the stars but In my size and added one more star to it compared to the original flag. I changed the background of the flag to white and found the flag a bit interesting. I actually really wanted to change the background of that piece on the flag which is the british one into a different colour because I thought it would probably look better. I couldn't do that so I had just left it the way it was.  I'm proud of the flag even though I think It wasn't the best but at least I gave it a go is all it matters.

Easter learning Journey: Day 1 activity 3 (Nau mai haere mai)

Hi my name is Deborah If you don't know me greetings and nice to meet you. This is Activity 3 Day 1, For this task I've watched a video showing the most attractive places and things to do here in my home city and country Auckland New Zealand. After watching this video I found out a whole more things about my city. By watching this I have to pick three things I would pick to do. And what really caught my eye and I've never seen before is the Native rainforest of the Waitakere ranges. It looks like such a beautiful place to take walks and photos I mean I'm pretty shock even though I live here I've never new this place. This is first on my list because who would want to miss such a stunning place I mean I wouldn't. (Video here)

Something little about me is that I've never been to the museum in my entire life. Surprisingly not even once which sounds said. But this is where I would want to go. Here's a photo I thought was really pretty showing how it looks like at night. I've chosen this because I'm really interested in learning about the things stored in this museum. I mean there could be something about the pacific islands but I doubt that. Be I find this could be a great option since I've never been to the museum.
My last choice on where to visit in Auckland is the one and only Sky tower. At the sky tower you can jump of it from different speed and also walk around it. But I would never ever do that in my entire life. Instead of doing that I would rather prefer to watch from the site viewing what ever you call it place. It must be an amazing view and looking at the stunning photos people take its breath taking like, OMG.

Easter Learning Journey: Day 1 Activity 2 (Nau mai haere mai)

information Logo | Free Logo Design Tool from Flaming Text

Task Description: Hello, Kia ora and what many would say welcome back. This is Day 1 but the second activity for my Easter Learning Journey. In for to day we have this site we have to scroll through and look for three things to write about. Here are the three topics I've Decided to write about. If your wondering yes there is information about each topic but I have to write it in my own words.

Backyard Genius: Here is the first thing I found out about New Zealand. Later before Sir Ernest Rutherford Split the atom in the early Twentieth century many kiwis have been inventing and discovering amazing creations. Most of these inventions said by the info were made in these peoples homes and actually sound super creative and properly took a lot of thinking into there creations. To this day the tranquiliser gun, electric fences, the fastest motorbike in the world, freezer vacuum pumps, stamp vending machines, wide-toothed shearing combs, and the electronic petrol pump were a few of the things discovered here in new Zealand which is very interesting and fascinating to know that these things were made here in New Zealand Like, OMG.

Kiwis Love the great outdoors: Here in New Zealand we are proudly known for the beauty of our nature and outdoors. We have such stunning views that are over the top. Many visitors from around the world come here just because of the beauty of the mountains and high peeks. New Zealand has such amazing hiking areas all around Aotearoa. Many of our visitors always think of New Zealand as such a relaxing and beautiful country, I mean the outdoors are really eye catching. Not only the visitors from other country hike and adventure the outdoors but also us kiwis. Us Kiwis have grown a lot of passion towards outdoor adventuring. I don't know If you know this but only 15% New Zealand families own a boat. We've also have passion in outdoor activities so as, hiking, bush walks sports we love to play so as rugby and netball and many more. Taking long walks up our mountains can relate to the time a man called Sir Edmund Hillary the first ever person to reach the top of the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Sir Edmund Hillary is indeed a New Zealander.

Mateship on the sporting field: This topic is talking about the friendship between men. And in other ways to say this is by New Zealand's most popular sport. In rugby the men all cooperate and play as a team. communicating and bonding in the game is a very strong part of rugby. Well there playing on the field you could look back to those time when All blacks were such a big team and managed to always have a good chance in winning the world cup. Rugby is surely the number one all time sports that have bring us back here in New Zealand the times when I use to watch the all black games with my family and all the excitement to this. All it matters is the friendship people build well playing this game.

Easter learning Journey: Day 1 Activity 1 (Nau mai haere mai)

Hello and greetings, Today is the first task for my schools Easter learning journey I'm a bit late but I'm still going to continue it. As this is the first day for my schools Easter learning journey we are instructed to take photo of our self with an object or something we would take If we were to travel the whole of Aotearoa and the world. Here is a picture I inserted of me and my special object I've decided to pick.

As you can see here is a  picture of me and my special object. It's very interesting that out of everything I could have picked I've picked a phone But is Supposedly supposed to be a camera but this could be something similar.
I've picked a camera because I could use it to take many photos of my adventure around the world. I can treasure these pictures so then when I look back at it I will remember the time I adventured the whole world. Just imagine going to the most famous resort's in the world, WOW.

Taha TINANA to build a healthy BODY

Hi And welcome to my blog If your new here but If you aren't welcome back. This task I have here is a task from our challenge for school during this time in lockdown, Taha Challenge. All of us students were requested from one of the students to do this for their first challenge. We had to attempt to do 10 push ups. Here is a video you can check out me supposedly doing 12 by accident but was meant to do 10. But anyways here is the first challenge for our Taha challenge.

This Challenge is Towards one of the houses in Te whare tapa wha something we've been working on the past term. This is connected with Taha Tinana and is connected with it because Taha Tinana is about keeping fit and just keeping your body healthy and in the correct shape. From this challenge I've learnt that since I'm stuck at home for a while because of covid-19 I'll might as well do some fitness because I'll be stuck at home everyday.

April fools Day 2020

Tenor GIF Keyboard - Bring Personality To Your Conversations As you may have found out it is April fools day today, April the 1st. Aprils fools day is a annual day made for those who are eager to prank or play jokes on people. This is when everyone gets to express their self by pulling jokes on people and having fun. Even in this condition when this disease is going around nothing is going to stop our dear local citizens from celebrating a day when you get to pull pranks to one of you family members. As I was scrolling through tik tok I came upon a video of a Dad with her daughters and his daughter were ready and outside to go to school. This is the part they got wrong. Well the girls were outside the dad asked them a strange question saying, " Hey girls, what's the date today."Even though the dad had his phone with him. They all paused for a sec and one of the girls said, "April 1st". That's when the girls all realise what just happened. They've just got pranked by their dad and him making them think its back to school. I mean it was a pretty good prank I may say. But this is what I've wanted to share with you and to remember it wa april fools day.
