Task Description:

Kia ora everyone! I apologize for the delay of my literacy task for this week but I've just completed it so you can take a look at it now. This week which is week five, our literacy classes returned back to normal where we went to our literacy teachers instead of our home class. For literacy this week our focus was on Poetry and specific poems titled 'The River Story' and 'Our Tree'. We had to read the poems and follow the instruction given in the slide show. Check it out!

Task Description:

Kia ora everyone! Welcome to my blog, this is my first blog post for week five this week. This here is my math task which is based on Decimals and Statistics. We worked on two problems and before starting on it we went through it as a class at the start of the week. Sorry for the delay on this blog post but here it is. At the end of this slide we had a task where instead of having a math problem to solve we had to do a little..... I would say challenge. What we had to do was measure the people in our house hold with anything. Specifically said in the slide was a wooden spoon but are also aloud to use other objects. I used a brush since there wasn't a difference and because I wanted to change it up a bit. Depending on how much brushes it took to measure there height was how tall they would be with a brush or what you used. For Example, my little brother was 5 and a half brushes tall. Check it out!

DMIC WEEK 5

Task Description:

Kia ora everyone! Welcome, its week five which means we are half way throw the term. That was really quick wasn't it. Today is Monday and is the start of the week. For today's Google meet schedule for the day we had our team assembly at 9:00 , Maths at 9:30 and next Literacy at 11:30. For math we have two tasks to complete and the first one we have to complete is this task. It is a very short and simple one which was great to start of with maths. It was just based on number chart but we added addition into it. With that we had to fill in the missing boxes and at the end had to write down patterns we could see. Check it out!

Task Description:

Kia ora and Malo e lelei everyone! Welcome, today I'll be sharing with you all a special event that pt England school held on Thursday the 3d of June which was this week. This so event we call 'Fiefia' is an event that has been going on in Pt England school for a while and is very special to us. This event happens every two years which means it was supposed to happen last year but due to covid that wasn't able to happen. We were lucky enough to have it this year which I was very happy about since it was my last year. For those who don't know what we do with this event what we do is there are different groups that we are put into that will share a special performance on that specific day. I was in the Tongan girls group which I was happy about because I am Tongan and with this I could embrace my culture. The night was so fun and I can tell everyone was excited because of the amount of people that came. Don't worry, I live in a country that is okay with covid and so we were all safe. Check it out!

Task Description:

Kia ora everyone! Today my literacy class didn't have a meeting so my teacher just gave us a simple slide show based on adjectives. Using the knowledge we have learn't about adjectives from our previous work in literacy we used it to complete the task. We got given sentence's to highlight the adjectives in them and pictures that were inserted for us to write down three different words that describe that thing by using adjective words. At the end there was a photo and a blank area for us to describe the picture. This task was very simple and fun because I was able to focus more on adjectives. Check it out!

Task Description:

Kia ora everyone! Welcome, it is week 5 and today is Monday and this morning we started off with some literacy. This mornings literacy we got given a slide show to work on which was pretty easy and simple since we have been working on these similar things in the task from previous work in literacy. This task was based on Nouns, mainly proper nouns and common nouns. This task was great for me because it tested me on how well I know the differences between proper nouns and common nouns. On the last slide we had to create our own sentences with nouns in it for you guys to check out as well as Possessive nouns. And that's all for literacy this morning. Check it out!

Task Description: This is a little task we had for the early finishers for math after completing the pyramid warm up task and the main task for the week. The task includes ten multiplication and division questions for us to answer. Check it out!

Task Description: During my literacy class we had a break and decided from my teacher that we should have a time to write since we haven't really do some in a while. We had a choice of pictures for us to write about depending on our imagination. Using the picture we've choose we were asked to write down as many as we want having to relate to the picture.
