Summer Sounds / SLJ / Week 4

  -- SUMMER LEARNING JOURNEY --

Task Description:
Welcome everyone! Sorry again for the long wait for this weeks posts I was supposed to complete. This week I have been pretty busy so you might be seeing them being posted up today or tomorrow. Here is Tuesday's activity and what we had to do is write a poem about sounds you may hear during summer. This is my poem. Check it out !

  2. Kia ora Deborah,

Fiona here from the SLJ. Fantastic work creating a Sounds of Summer poem! You have included really summery sounds in your writing like lawn mowers, street music and noisy crickets - ka pai! I can hear these sounds in summer from across my street too. I can also hear birds chirping outside, and my son practicing on his new guitar!

What sort of sounds do you think you might hear in winter time? I think this activity is so cool because often we forget to slow down and take note of all the different sounds around us.

    Keep up the awesome mahi.

    Mā te wā,

    Fiona (SLJ).

    1. Thank you Fiona!

I'm glad you liked this. It took me a while to figure out what I was going to write but I listen to what I could hear outside and I wrote it down. In the winter I could hear rain because where I live in New Zealand it doesn't snow. As well as strong wind. Thank you for asking.

      Thank you !

      Deborah :)
