Happy New Year's In Different Language's / SLJ / Week 3

 -- SUMMER LEARNING JOURNEY --

Task Description:
Happy New Year's everyone! My name is Deborah and for today's Summer Learning task we had to make a poster full of different ways you can say Happy New Years in different languages. Right here I have seven different ways of saying happy new year's. If you are interested you can try out saying them to people.

What did you do for New Year's ? Tell me in the comment section and I'll reply back !

  1. Hey Deborah,

Well done on this awesome new years poster. It’s really cool to learn how different people are celebrating the new year and the words that are shared around the globe as new year's comes to them. Did you know we are one of the first countries to get the new year along with Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and Kiribati.

My Dad’s a missionary in Romania and he wished me “An nou fericit” which is Happy new years in Romania so there’s a bonus one for you too.

    Great work Deborah,
See you later in the comments,

    Daniel

    1. Thank you Daniel!

As always with your thoughtful comment. Thank you for letting me know. I hadn't known that us as well as these places are one of the first to celebrate New Year. Thank you for that. Your dad's a Missionary! that sound very cool and awesome. Romania is a very beautiful place so he must be very lucky. Thank you for the bonus points as well.

      Ta'u Fo'u Fiefia Daniel!

      Deborah :)

  2. Yeah the international date line makes weird things happen. Did you know that American Samoa is a whole day behind Samoa even though they are right next to each other. I just found out about that now while exploring round on google maps.

Thanks for your kind words, I'll pass them on to my Dad and I think it'll make him smile.

    La revedere,

    Daniel
