My Special Summer Place / SLJ / Week 4

  -- SUMMER LEARNING JOURNEY --

Task Description:
Good Morning / Afternoon! Today's task is from Thursday and what we had to do was look into places in New Zealand that you could visit as well as share as a place you may enjoy. I have not been on a vacation to anyplace in New Zealand besides where I live in Auckland, So that's why I will be promoting a place I found like was very beautiful and wonderful for people to know about. This Place is called 'Abel Tasman National Park'. From what I see and read I can tell that this is a wonderful place. Check out the poster to see what you could do and more. Check it out!

If you live in NZ what places do you think people should visit !
Tell me in the comment section and I'll reply back!

Wow, you have done a great job on the Special Summer Place activity! It is so cool to see that you’ve included so many facts about Abel Tasman National Park; it sounds like an amazing place and I would love to visit it one day too! If you could travel anywhere in New Zealand, where would you want to go the most?

I think it’s so awesome how innovative you’ve been with this task and promoting a beautiful place that you want to visit when you haven’t been on holiday outside of Auckland before! I would love to go kayaking at Abel Tasman National Park - kayaking is one of my favourite activities!

Because you have used creative thinking and done such an outstanding job with this activity, I’m going to award you some bonus points! Tino pai tō mahi! Keep up the great work!

    1. Kia ora Elle!

Thank you for this thoughtful comment. When I saw a picture of Abel Tasman National park I knew that it was the one I was going to use for this activity. If I were to travel anywhere in New Zealand it would be this place. OMG! I love kayaking as well. The first ever time I kayaked was at my year 6 school camp. I had such a blast because we got to have some free time. Thank you so much for commenting as well as the bonus point.

      Thank you!

      Deborah :)

    2. Kia ora Deborah, thank you for your reply!

That is great that the photo of Abel Tasman National Park immediately caught your attention, and that you would love to travel there too! I would like to go there as well!

I'm so excited to hear you like kayaking as well! I like that it doesn't feel like exercise, because it's so much fun! Sometimes I take our family dog with me! She sits on the front of the kayak, and she loves it! Where is the most exciting place you've ever been kayaking?

You're welcome Deborah, you deserve it!

      Ngā mihi,

  2. Kia ora Deborah, Elle here again from SLJ.

Looking back at the activity, because you’re using images that are not your own, it is really important to reference the original creator. In order to give you bonus points for this activity, could you please include an attribution for the images with the name of the creator and a link to where you found the image online in your text?
Here are some tips to help you attribute and image that is not yours

Thank you and I’ll check back soon to see how you’re getting on!

    Ngā mihi,
    Elle (SLJ)

Thank you very much for taking the time to fix this! You have done a marvellous job with your referencing. I'm very impressed that you included links when you couldn't find the original photographer - this is very innovative. Ka pai!

Keep it up, I am thoroughly enjoying reading your blog posts and seeing you develop your learning!
