Camp

Last week I went to the year 5 and 6 camp. It was only three days we stayed at school which was Wednesday to Friday. On the two extra day Monday and Tuesday we had to bring our big bags to school on Tuesday and pay the rest of our fees on Monday. Before the week of camp on Friday we got to get in to our groups and learn our dance for the concert on Thursday night. If your wondering what is the concert about it when all the groups dance and there will be judges to judge the points. Who ever's team wins they get a lot of points for there team.

Every year we have a camp for just year 5 and 6. We get to stay at camp and do fun staff with our friends in our group. There was lots of people that were at the camp which were year 5 and 6 students, Teachers, parents-helping, security at night, and also cookers to make our food. The fun activities we were doing included kayaking with Mr Burt, parents, and prefects, the slip n slide with Mr Somerville, Cyclo-ball and killer zone with Mr J, Dance practise and wheel games with group, wheel games, movie night, Killer zone, pools-showers. From my experience from the year 5 and 6 camp I have so much highlight’s from it. From the slip n slide to the killer zone my Ultimate favorite will be kayaking, because all of the fun races me and my friends had well kayaking. There was so much splashing and so much laughing I was almost going to fall off the kayak which I found very funny. And well I was kayaking I went a little bit to far from the green point we were only post to go to. But then I turned around and tried to catch up with my friends so I can scare them. The reason why my top favorite was kayaking was because we got teach the year 5s how kayak and was a really good experience for me and the year 5s because worked as a team when paddling because the way of paddling when your on a kayak you have to paddle the same time as your partner. From my experience from the year 5 and 6 camp I have so much highlight’s from it. I have so much highlights I’m dying to tell you guys so I will. This is my second highlight and it’s all about slippery and soupy. This is the slip n slide which was organized by Mr somerville I had so much fun on the slip n slide because we gotta go together with our friends it was so slippery and so soapui. The slip n slide was a blast. Camp was a really good experience for me because the year 5s and the year 6s got to work as a team It’s really happy my school gets to do camp. So that was my top highlights from camp.

I would like to thank first Mr Burt because made camp happen for use to have lots of fun. I would also like to thank all the parent’s that helped with the security at night and for coming with use to help with pools. And also for the people were cooking the food for use and waking up early come and make our breackfeastearliey in the morning.

Every child should have a experience for camp because It can build up there teamwork and face different challenges in their activities. It also helps them get along with other people they don’t normally talk to. It can get them to do more things outside then inside. This why schools should do this for the kids.
