Christmas free verse poem

This week I've been doing this type of writing called free verse. Free verse has no rules so it's up to the person that's writing rather she or he want's to have as much lines as they want. you can do so much with free verse, that's why it's my favorite to do free verse. I really liked writing this poem but I hope you enjoy it more then I wrote it.

Cave Art Animation

Hi my name is Deborah let's go back a long time ago to cavemen times. Three cavemen's were chasing a harmless wombat, well they were chasing the wombat one of them stoped cause he sore a cave which he was curious  to see what was in side. He saw pictures appearing on the wall it shown other cavemen's surrounding a different wombat he quickly ran to catch up with his friends to not kill the wombat. Once he got to them he told them to not kill the wombat so they all left and didn't kill the wombat so the wombat went as well. So the wombat went back to his home happy that he didn't get killed. That was the end hoped you enjoyed my cavemen animation.

This is my animation for the term. It is based around netball.

Immersion Assembly

On Monday morning the 23d of july there was assembly in the hall, we all had to line up in a line, when we were all in the line we all rushed to the hall because we were one of the last classes to get in the hall, the first day of every term we always have assembly for what we will be doing for the term, we are doing fitness for this term one of the funny’s part of the assembly was when our principal Mr burt jumped out of nowhere and was dancing to one of beyonce's song called move your body. Team 1 was the first to show what there doing for move ya’ body it first started with mrs Sadler and Mr jacobson talking in the background about what  Mrs Sadler is doing. Mrs Sadler was just showing use How our routine in the night and the morning like eating a healthy breakfast and having a few Stretches before you go to bed but you don’t really have to do it but it’s just a example. The next team was team 2 team 2 was just showing use how to stay fit and them having some healthy food every day. The next team was team 3 team 3 just had there teacher doing some dancing and also eating healthy food like the other team’s. The next team is our team team 4 our teachers were just showing use of them playing hockey with spon’s. Next team was team 5, team 5 just did something called tichi it was really funny because Mr Wise man was doing silly moves from what the teacher was doing. One of my favorite part were when Mr burt was dressed as beyonce so his name was beyonce burt the funny part of it was his dance move it was really funny and really cool. So that was my immersion assembly hope you enjoyed it.

History of Flying Machines

About one thousand years before Jesus was born, someone invented kites that can left man’s in the sky. About 900 years later a king jumped of a church in england with wing attached on his arm he took a big jump then he died. About 500 years ago a man called leonardo da vinci the inventor and artist. He drew many designs for flying machines. But the design were not found for 400 years. Intell this day now. In 1843, George Cayley published his design for his latest invention called a biplane. He also identified the four forces of flight which is lift, weight, drag, and thrust,. Sixty years later the wright brothers made the first recorded powered, sustained and controlled flight in any flying machine in a america. In 1930 the frankwittle a british inventor he designed the first turbojet engine. 40 years later the first 747 jumbo jet was invented it’s first flight carrying a passenger from New york to London. Fast-forward 40 years 2011 new zealander Glenn Martin, invented a jetpack it is a small flying invention that he made. In the same year the first flying car was invented I was shocked when I heard about this I thought it wasn’t real but it is.

The History of Flying Machines

Today I was working on the history of flying machines on a time line we had to work on this I put the slide of the order at the bottom of the page.

Me and my partner central were working on this parachute it was so fun to do.

Matariki

The first thing we did was we had to go to our activity room’s I was in cooking. I went with my friend Leah. When we got to the room we sat down on the mat our teachers were Miss Carter and Miss Carson first they did the roll then they told us what we will be doing. We had to split up from the little kids probably year four and under the little ones made cookies first and we made galaxy slime first so you're probably thinking why are you guys making galaxy slime well our activity teacher thought it will be a fun activity because we are going to put stars in it for the seven stars. Before we make our slime we had to get in to a group of four. First step was to poor in half a cup of clear glue in to our bowl then we had to add a quarter of a cup of water then mix we all took turns to mix. After we mixed the glue and the water we got to add some food coloring and some stars then we got to put in some borax borax is the thing that makes the slime come together and make the slime if you can’t fine borax you have to go to bunnies warehouse. Our activity teacher told us how to make the borax first some one in our group had get half a cup of hot water and the other person had to go and get the borax then we had to wait for Mrs to come with the measuring spoon so we can put the borax in the hot water to make the Activator. When we got the measuring spoon we got to activate our slime but the funny thing was that we failed the slime was so  liquidy so we all had to start again I think it was the water that made it like that. This time we had to Use White glue because there was no more clear glue so we tried it but it didn't work. It was morning tea we had to clean our mess up then we had to get our food. After morning tea we went to cooking but Mrs caston said we can do our slime later. first all of us had to go on a table and there would be a bowl of cookie dough and we had to roll the dough into a ball then push it down and it will make a circle then Mrs carter will bring the star shapes we only had two baking trays so we had put the cookies we made to the side so when the other cookies in the Oven finish then we have to put the cookies in the baking tray after making all the cookies we got to look at our slimes the little ones worked a little bit because they added some flour so we added some flour to and it worked but it was a little bit sticky so we added our one to this other group there one was so big because they added some more glue my team and the other team worked together to make the slime it was slime but when we went for lunch time the little kids added some water in it and it made it worse when lunch time was finish we got to ice the cookies after icing all the cookies we got to eat some and watch a Matariki move then we had to go to assembly. That was my Matariki day.

Just keep swimming

First of all we had to get in to our group then we had to put our life jackets on then we had to line up and jump in the pool one at a time but we had to put one of our foot pointing to the water and then we fall in to the water. When we all got in the water we had to swim on our back to the shallow side and then we had to listen to our swimming lesson teacher she told us to swim to the deep part and we had to do arm circles. We all had to go in a circles then our swimming lesson teacher told us to all swim away from each other then she would say huddle then we will all race to the middle and huddle it was so funny because every time we huddled centrals legs were floating and she couldn't balance properly because of the life jacket. After that we had to line up and we had to go on our back and then we had to race each other it was so fun and because everyone came first place the next thing we did was we had to all hold on to each others life jacket and paddle it was kinda like a train and every five or ten second we had to let go of someone at the front and then we had to try and pull them to the back that was my favorite thing we did. Next we got to have free time that's when we get to do anything we want we did handstands and races also we did star fishes and then we had to get out of the pool cause it was time to go back to school.

Dictation race

Money money money precious found two gold coins on the field. Tristan found to silver coins on the court what a lucky day how much money could they have found? They found 4$ 20c So at the first precious found 3$ Then there was two 50c witch made 1 dollar So the one dollar made 4$ And there was 20c left That made the answer

Today we did the Dictation race the first thing we did was to pick a partner I was with Leah the next thing we did was to pick who was going to be the writer o the reader I was the writer and Leah was the reader I went to get my Chromebook then we got started.

last week the year 5 and 6 went to camp it was so fun we did lots of fun things.

All about me

Mālō e lelei! My name is Deborah. I’m 9 years old, I go to Pt England School and I live in Glen Innes in New Zealand.I live with my mom, dad and 2 little brothers. One is 6 years old and the other is 2 years old. I also live with my nana, papa and my auntie. I come from New Zealand and I am Tongan.

I like to play sports and right now i’m going to play netball. I also like to bake cookies and cakes but one of my other favourite thing to do is art. I like drawing more than colouring the best but one of my favourite things to do is go to Chipmunks. It’s so much fun it’s like a big park but inside it’s got a really big bouncy slide. It’s huge and that is why it’s my favourite.  There is one more thing I also like and it's volleyball.

What do I like about school? Well I like to learn lots of new thing and one of my favourite subjects is maths. some people don’t like maths but it is my favourite thing to do at school. My other thing I like to do at school is working with my friends I like to learn with a group. It’s really helpful for my learning. one more thing I like to do at school is getting to learn new things. It’s fun for me.
