Matariki

The first thing we did was we had to go to our activity room’s I was in cooking. I went with my friend Leah. When we got to the room we sat down on the mat our teachers were Miss Carter and Miss Carson first they did the roll then they told us what we will be doing. We had to split up from the little kids probably year four and under the little ones made cookies first and we made galaxy slime first so you're probably thinking why are you guys making galaxy slime well our activity teacher thought it will be a fun activity because we are going to put stars in it for the seven stars. Before we make our slime we had to get in to a group of four. First step was to poor in half a cup of clear glue in to our bowl then we had to add a quarter of a cup of water then mix we all took turns to mix. After we mixed the glue and the water we got to add some food coloring and some stars then we got to put in some borax borax is the thing that makes the slime come together and make the slime if you can’t fine borax you have to go to bunnies warehouse. Our activity teacher told us how to make the borax first some one in our group had get half a cup of hot water and the other person had to go and get the borax then we had to wait for Mrs to come with the measuring spoon so we can put the borax in the hot water to make the Activator. When we got the measuring spoon we got to activate our slime but the funny thing was that we failed the slime was so  liquidy so we all had to start again I think it was the water that made it like that. This time we had to Use White glue because there was no more clear glue so we tried it but it didn't work. It was morning tea we had to clean our mess up then we had to get our food. After morning tea we went to cooking but Mrs caston said we can do our slime later. first all of us had to go on a table and there would be a bowl of cookie dough and we had to roll the dough into a ball then push it down and it will make a circle then Mrs carter will bring the star shapes we only had two baking trays so we had put the cookies we made to the side so when the other cookies in the Oven finish then we have to put the cookies in the baking tray after making all the cookies we got to look at our slimes the little ones worked a little bit because they added some flour so we added some flour to and it worked but it was a little bit sticky so we added our one to this other group there one was so big because they added some more glue my team and the other team worked together to make the slime it was slime but when we went for lunch time the little kids added some water in it and it made it worse when lunch time was finish we got to ice the cookies after icing all the cookies we got to eat some and watch a Matariki move then we had to go to assembly. That was my Matariki day.
