Week 5 - Tech making veggie up noodles

Today we had tech. For our course we made veggie up noodles. Inside of it holds a lot of ingredients so as noodles , flavoring and many different veggies. We were first instructed to get our utensils to prepare before cooking. Out of our partners we were told to grab a bowl with veggies . That was my friends job well I was given the job to grab the soy sauce, and two pieces of bacon. there was something else but I didn't know what it was called. My partner was chopping the veggies well I was cooking the noodles and chopping the bacon into little pieces. But anyway during the process making this we were slowly adding all the ingredients into the pan where it was going to be mixed in and cooked. We were adding the rest of the ingredients into the pan and finished off by cleaning up and putting back all the utensils to the trolleys they were in at the start of the lesson. Today was very fun because we were given a course that was very enjoyable to make.

10 things my family do that show Te taha whanau!!

1.  first of all when my family supports my siblings and i when playing a lot of sports.
2. They also encourage us to try our best t in our learning. 
3.  using our manners is very important in our culture because its very rude to not use our manners
4. having  a positive attitude is also one we all follow. 
5. Spending time together is when we go to the beach with our church and we all spend time with each other.
6. When were all together were building a bond with each other
7.  Sticking up for each other when things go wrong. 
8. my family sometimes supports our decisions.
9.  Having a good relationship with the kids our age and also the little ones 
10. Spending time with each other even in tough times.

#Home learning - THE WAY OF THE SAMURAI

In for this week I have chosen a book I thought would be very interesting to share with who ever is reading this. It is called, THE WAY OF THE SAMURAI. The titled defiantly caught my eye, and which is the reason I choose this book. 'Okay now lets start sharing some crazy information about the book. At the start Geronimo was having his typical Saturday night routine. He was scrolling through a photo album reminding him of all the crazy adventures he's taken . He was wearing his typical Saturday night outfit with a light on and sitting on his comfortable chair. All of a sudden the phone was ringing.   Coming from the other side was someone asking Geronimo if he was ready for an adventure with a deep voice. Geronimo gulped. It was his treasure - hunting friend, Wild Willie! He had Called geronimo and wanted him to meet him tonight at eight thirty at 18 south paw Square. And ways let's just skip a few pages forward to the real part of the storey. In this part of the book wild Willie and Geronimo were off to Japan in search of a legendary ancient samurai scroll that holds the secret to a long-lost fighting technique. The scroll had fallen into the wrong hands, it was up to them two to save the day. All of a sudden in the book I came upon a sentence saying they first thing they had to do was to fight a group of talented ninjas. I'm sure geronimo was scared because he wasn't a trained taught ninja. But geronimo sill did it and tried even if he was never taught.  

How to be a good host!!!!

“How do you want to show people you are a good host!?? Well here are some steps you can follow along”. When you come upon a knock on your door always remember to open it straight away. Don’t let the person on the other side of the door wait for such a long time. Unless you were just cleaning up. By the way when I mentioned cleaning up it is very polite to clean up because you need to present the house well and neatly. It's rude to let someone in your house and then them seeing such a big mess, It looks like you don’t care about them and it doesn't matter how messy it is. So remember PRESENT THE HOUSE WELL. After seeing all that mess I don’t think that person would want to come back to your house ever again neither would I, so take care of that part and memorize it.  And always remember to be happy and be very funny, It helps a lot. So I hope you’ve got that information. Okay let's start. To be a good host you are to first warmly welcome that person or a large group coming into your house happily with a huge smile. That just passes your happiness to that person because of your smile and again the happiness. You are always to remember that when someone is in your house you have to present your house well. Have you done that, okay..  In my family we are always taught that those who knock at the door are most welcomed into our house and is wormly offered a drink of their choice and a little snack to go with it. When you let them into your house you need them to be greeted very well and should be greeted well so they are comfortable with you. Asking them politely things is a great way to show them how nice you are to people. All it takes to be a good host is from knowing the right thing to do when there are visitors in your house. When guiding them to your living room make sure someone is already prepared with them a drink and probably some biscuits. Try and bring up a conversation. In my family the conversations go on forever. When my cousins come over our parents talk forever. That's when they stay longer at our house. Make them think there at home by treating them with a happy smile and some joyful speaking. In My family after we have big feeds when people come over We always give them the leftovers to them and they take it home. It is very rude in my culture not to give any food. Even If they say no we still give to them. It is a sign of sharing and caring. 

My thoughts about blogging ??

My thoughts about blogging?? To me blogging is when I get to show people all the great things I do here in team 5 all throughout the year. It is showing people that learning is fun and that Pt england School loves to be creative in learning. We always put a lot of effort into our learning If you've checked our blogs and have seen so many interesting things that everyone is up to. Our blogs are created for people all over new zealand and the world to see what we do. It is shared with the community and our families to see what fun things we are up to here in our school.  I feel like having a blog is great because we get to express our self in our learning we do and show fun ways to present these. Just like when we add things  to our google slides some of us are very creative with it and add fun things into it. What is very good is that the students that take their chromebook home can blog anything  fun there doing or a vacation there looking forward to during the year. Or it could be about something great they learnet at home by there family  and they can show that on their blog. I love to blog about fun things, like what fun things I might be doing in the upcoming holiday or even in the weekends. I can even share some great books I read. Anyways these are my thoughts about blogging. 

Week 4 Tech - Building a salad bowl

Today is Tuesday which means we had tech. Today we were building a salad bowl with our partners. Me and my partner kesaia first of all got all of our utensils from our little trolley that each kitchen got. We next followed the instructions step by step. Me and kesaia did different stuff so then we can get all of it done just to make is faster and for us to mix it all together. there were two sides in the cooking area. The other students on the other side of the room got to have chicken and rice when they start building their salads and we got noodles and tuna. we added different types of veggies like Salad, shredded carrots, cucumber, tomatoes and this long skinny looking grass thing which we had to chop into little pieces and to me smelled like onions. It was a pretty long process compared to the first week and that's what made it more exciting and meant more things to do. after adding all the veggies and noodles and the tuna into a bowl it was time to add the salt and pepper that would add some flavor into it, we then added the flavoring packets from the noodles into it. It was then the time to mix it and start to clean the area we cooked in. Well I was mixing it kesaia was washing the dishes. Once I've finish mixing it and adding it into the containers we brang I then washed the counters. To day was a very fun and great experience we had making this salad. After trying it we were all amazed by it and loved it. Can't wait for what's coming up next week at tech.!!!
